Adversity and Suffering

I have heard some teach that we go through these storms because we have in some way disobeyed God, but I can tell you, that during all of the storms I have personally faced, never once did I believe it happened because I was out of the will of God!

God often allows us to experience hardships and difficulties,not because we’ve done anything wrong but that we may be doing something right. Jesus Christ did everything right, yet He endured difficulties and suffering. It was not because He was outside of God’s will, but was in it!

The heat of our suffering is the refiner’s fire

It’s only through our experience of trials and suffering, our souls can be strengthened. The marvelous and rewarding joy in Christ would lose something if there were challenges to overcome. The mountain top moments would pale if there were no dark valleys to conquer.
