Especially, ahead of the next guy, faster than the next guy, to have more than he has, better than his, and at times, stepping on him or over anyone that attempts to stand in our way. For some, healthy competitiveness, becomes an obsession.
In the information and technology age in which we live, social media, text and emails has become than ‘norm’, rather than social gatherings. Sadly, because of this ‘social interaction’ many people today, do not deep, meaningful and mutually satisfying relationships,
When we place the focus our successes, our lives, our problems we lose sight of what being a follower of Christ is all about, others.
As Christians, our value and worth is in Jesus Christ, and the Word of God, not the self perpetuating values of this world, that devalues and depersonalizes others, seeing them only as tools to be used as we claw our way upward on the ladder of success.
