Suffering and Pain

Scripture teaches that because we live in a fallen world, we can expect to experience suffering, pain and trials in this life. Ultimately, this is so we can become more like Christ, by living in total dependency and in perfect obedience to God.

Our suffering, also helps us to better identify with the sufferings of Christ and grow in our anticipation and joy of Him receiving us one day in the near future. As we endure our suffering, we can better identify with Christ and the life of Christ is revealed in and through us.

"For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.”

Philippians 1:29-30
