Have you ever known someone, who had a small part in something great, and because they held such a high opinion of themselves, that thought it was ALL them?
Prayer is about God's will, not about making sure He knows everything on our wish list!
Prayer is a open dialog, not a monologue.
It's the act of us coming into the presence of God, having a conversation with Him, asking Him to reveal His will to us, rather than asking Him to do our will.
Thanking Him, praising Him, for all that He has done, all that He is doing and all that He will do!
For every time and situation, when all we could see was hopelessness of our circumstances,
and in our desperation, He revealed Himself, and did the impossible.
For the times, when doctors sat down with our test results, and gave a diagnosis, that appeared more like a death sentence than a letter of hope and encouragement.
For all the times when we had no idea where our next meal would come from, let alone, how we would feed our families, and yet, the Lord prepared a table before us.
When the bills, and needs, we had no idea how we were going to we beyond hope of obtaining.
"You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures."
James 4:2-3
