Bible - The Source of Power

The Bible is the source of reconciliation and restoration! Emotional and physical healing.
God’s Word does NOT return void.

I’d like to speak candidly, I know that at one time or another, we have all been sick with a cold or flu, but that’s not what I’m speaking about here. And no, I don’t mean sick of your children pestering you for that newest ‘everybody else already has one except me’ video game either.

I’m speaking about an illness or disease. One that doctors aren’t certain about the outcome. Cancer, HIV, heart disease, diabetes and many other illnesses and diseases.

James 5:13-15 says “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray... Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."

It amazes me at the number of people, including a great many Christians, who will say “Well, I don’t know, if it’s God’s will to heal me...” But these same people will go to a doctor, expecting a miracle, a magic pill to heal them.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ is Jehovah Rapha

Of course it’s the will of God to restore our heath and diseases. His Son, Jesus Christ, bore them all on the cross at Calvary! The resurrection in our receipt, it was paid for in full.

Matthew 21:22 says “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

James 4:2-3 says “You do not have because you do not ask...
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Luke 4:40 tells us “When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.”

Jeremiah 30:17 says “For I will restore health to you. And heal you of your wounds,' says the LORD.”

Three and a half years ago, doctors told me I had just weeks to live. They could perform surgery to address some of the issues I faced, but for others, well.. it was beyond their ability and control.

Upon receiving the ‘not so good diagnosis’
I smiled and said “Thank you.”
They in a look of dismay, asked if I fully understood what they had just said, and I reassured them I did.
Now I was going to take what they had said and give it to the Great Physician. That they had now given me the specifics on what I needed to pray about.

Today, doctors have said there is ‘no medical explanation’ why I’m even still here..
but I live, because because He lives! However, they have concluded that maybe there is something to this ‘faith’ of mine.

Because my faith in God, He assured me it’s not over until He says it’s over, that restoration, was coming not death!

My mother, a 20 year, stage 4 kidney cancer survivor, has a very similar story.
And I personally know of countless others!

As followers of Christ, we must not just talk our faith, and our beliefs by showing up at church on Sunday, calling ourselves Christians, we must in FAITH, BELIEVE what the Word of God says, and confess and proclaim His Word, daily in our own lives! Mark 5:19-20

I’m here today to proclaim, if the Word of God says it, that settles it.

You Can't Quarantine The Word of God

" 35  Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He got up, went out, and made His way to a deserted place. And He was praying there. 36  Simon and his companions went searching for Him. 37  They found Him and said, “Everyone’s looking for You!” 38  And He said to them, “Let’s go on to the neighboring villages so that I may preach there too. This is why I have come.” 39  So He went into all of Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons. 40  Then a man with a serious skin disease came to Him and, on his knees, begged Him: “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” 41  Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. “I am willing,” He told him. “Be made clean.” 42  Immediately the disease left him, and he was healed. 43  Then He sternly warned him and sent him away at once, 44  telling him, “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go and show yourself to the priest, and offer what Moses prescribed for your cleansin

The Power Of A Humble Prayer

" Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you; 2  and that we will be rescued from perverse and evil men; for not all have faith. 3  But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one . 4  We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you are doing and will continue to do what we command. 5  May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ."
